Ashford Manor Concert on the Lawn

We've had a wonderful Fall down here. This concert is outdoors and it was beautiful! I went with friends Ann and Ashley. We had a great time and plenty of laughs and wine.

I shed you not.....

Ahhh - Jim Cheney. He's a handy man that man. Today, Jim totally reorganized the shed taking out our old shelves and installing the new silver finished shelf on wheels. "But Julie, it looks brighter in there." you say. Yes - it does. Because Jim also installed additional lights. Now I'll be able to put Ficus, Split Leaf and Lily in there over the winter. Also, since Jim is both in awe of and inspired by his Dad, Uncle Arnold and Ralph, he bought a table saw! Looks like we'll all be seeing more "Projects by Jim" very soon. Yeah! I attached a picture of the saw still in the box.

Georgia Bulldog weekend!!!

Thanks to the UGA Alumni Association...My friend Ashley and I got Skysuite passes to the UGA vs. UAB game on Saturday. It was amazing!!! We had a great time cheering the Dawgs on to their 34-0 victory. It was such a treat!

Our Labor Day weekend

We painted birdhouses on Labor Day! It was a lot of fun and a great way to relax. Jim took 3 appointments and then we painted all afternoon.

These flowers were grown in our front yard...more like along the walk way to our front door.

I'm a fan...of Jim Cheney!

Jim's little project is complete! We have long wanted to install a fan in our fireplace/computer area/room. Jim - ever the handy man - did it!!

So come to Athens and cool down with us.

Lulah loves to cuddle with Sam. It's pretty funny to watch. She came from a litter of 7 so she's a born cuddler. Too cute...

This picture says 2 things....

1st - Silas is 1 year old now!!! Time flies and he doesn't look anything like this now - he's a big boy and cute as ever.

2nd - IT'S ALMOST TIME FOR UGA FOOTBALL. I have to send Mark and Jessica their "starter kit".... not to mention the digital camera (we're awful people). ANYWAY - first game is next weekend. Gooooooooo DAWGS!

garden update

Here are some pictures of our garden and potted plants. I think we're finally starting to learn what grows well and where... Will be planting bulbs before you know it! Some of these are before and after pictures. The front area has really grown in and morning glories are going up the wood railing. The little ones in the vase we grew in our front garden area. We may try to tackle growing vegetables next year.

Lulah is getting so much bigger. She is so smart. She and Sammy play ALL of the time. It's super cute. Buddy would prefer to chill out.
